In the Ancient Forest grove, Pittock Sanctuary (bobcat)

Description

In this area of the Audubon Society of Portland's Pittock Sanctuary, around the junctions of the Ancient Forest Loop with the Jay Trail, there are a handful of old growth Douglas-firs. One has a platform built around it; just uphill from it is another of greater girth. These trees were well-established before settlers arrived in the area and may be over 250 years old.
