Driving Directions
Driving south on I-205, take Exit 12A for Highways 224 and 212E, Clackamas and Estacada. From the merger with Highway 224, drive 3.3 miles and turn right on Highway 224E for Carver and Estacada.
Go 15.3 miles, passing through Carver and Estacada. On the east side of Estacada, at the junction with Highway 211 for Molalla and Woodburn, keep straight on Highway 224 for the Upper Clackamas River and North Fork Lake.
Drive 25.5 miles, passing the Ripplebrook Ranger Station and Ripplebrook Campground and keep right on FR 46 for Bagby Hot Springs and Detroit at the junction with FR 57.
Stay on FR 46 along the Clackamas River for 16.2 miles and turn right onto FR 4670.
Drive 0.4 miles, crossing the Clackamas River, and go left at a junction.
In 1.0 miles, keep right at the junction with FR 4671.
Drive another 4.2 miles on paved FR 4670 and then turn right onto gravel FR 4650.
Drive down FR 4650 for 4.0 miles. You can park on the right side of the road 0.1 miles past a creek. There should be flagging, but no sign, at the trailhead.
