At one time the Forst Service maintained hundreds of fire lookouts in our area. In the 1960s. they switched to airplane patrols and most of the lookouts were demolished. You can find foundations and artifacts on many forest peaks. These select few remain.

Oregon Hikers Field Guide is built as a collaborative effort by its user community. While we make every effort to fact-check, information found here should be considered anecdotal.
