Driving Directions
Driving south on I-205, take Exit 12A for Highways 224 and 212E, Clackamas and Estacada. From the merger with Highway 224, drive 3.3 miles and turn right on Highway 224E for Carver and Estacada.
Go 15.3 miles, passing through Carver and Estacada. On the east side of Estacada, at the junction with Highway 211 for Molalla and Woodburn, keep straight on Highway 224 for the Upper Clackamas River and North Fork Lake.
Drive 25.5 miles along the Clackamas River and, after passing the Ripplebrook Ranger Station and Ripplebrook Campground, cross a bridge and come to the junction with FR 57 for Timothy Lake.
Turn left here and drive 7.5 miles on paved FR 57 and then make a left turn onto narrow, paved FR 58.
Drive uphill 5.1 miles and turn left onto FR 140 for Pyramid Lake.
In 1.3 miles come to a junction where FR 150 goes off to the left. You can park around here on the side of the road (the Pyramid Lake Road Trailhead), or drive 0.7 miles more on a rough, narrow road overhung with brush to the turnaround at the Pyramid Lake Trailhead.
