South Fork Mountain

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Olallie Butte and Mt. Jefferson from South Fork Mountain (bobcat)

Description

The former lookout site on South Fork Mountain affords views from Mount Rainier to the Three Sisters. You will have to move around a bit to get the views, however, as trees have grown up since the lookout was decommissioned several decades ago.

The site is on the boundary of the Clackamas Wilderness. The former lookout road to the top of South Fork Mountain is usually gated lower down but is opened for deer hunting season.
