Description
Trillium Lake was originally Mud Lake, a boggy depression south of Summit Meadows and the source of Mud Creek. Mud Creek was dammed in 1960 and the lake's surface area increased to 62 acres. Brook, cutthroat, and rainbow trout are stocked here annually. There's a concessionaire campground and day-use area and, on sunny summer weekends, the east shore of the lake is a popular picnic destination.
