Alder Creek Crossing

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Alder Creek (Jerry Adams)

Description

On the loop around the Three Sisters, there is a gap between South Mattieu Lake and Camp Creek with only one place with drinking water, which is Alder Creek.

Alder Creek is fairly small. There is sparse forest. There are lots of places to make a camp, but take note that the area was devastated by the Pole Creek Burn.

There is a way trail going along the creek. It eventually goes up to a route up the North Sister. You could spend days exploring this area and eventually connect up with the PCT.
