Description

Badger Lake sits sparkling in the cirque that gives birth to Badger Creek. The rough 140 spur of FR 4860 leads here, so it can be a popular destination on summer and fall weekends for those with high clearance vehicles. There are several campsites scattered around the lake's shores. There is one outhouse for campers. Motorboats are not permitted on the lake. The area is popular with bowhunters in September.

The lake used to be much smaller than it is. In the 1950s two low dams were constructed on its north side to provide irrigation via ditch to farmlands to the east. The water is most used in late summer.
