Blue Grouse Camp

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Blue Grouse Camp in 2021 (bobcat)
Blue Grouse Camp before the Eagle Creek Fire (Steve Hart)

Description

Blue Grouse Camp used to be another popular campsite on Eagle Creek Trail. It is just below the trail on the banks above Eagle Creek. Since the Eagle Creek Fire, the flat bench has become brushy and overgrown but still offers shade. There are places only for two or three tents.

A short steep user trail goes down to Eagle Creek from the campsite at the north end of the Blue Grouse bench. A rocky beach allows easy water access for campers.
