Drive for 1.2 miles down Welches Road to a junction and bear left, still on Welches Road.
Drive for 0.7 miles and make a right onto E. Bridge Street.
Go for 0.2 miles, as far as a one lane bridge, and drive another 0.2 miles around to the left to park right at a cable gate and small signs for the Bonanza Trailhead.
Fees, Regulations, etc
- Trailhead jurisdiction is very narrow here. According to the Forest Service you can park at the trailhead, only right next to the cable gate, not anywhere else on the road. To make sure you know where to park without trespassing on private property, stop by or call the Zigzag Ranger Station (70220 E. Highway 26, 503.622.3191).
