Driving Directions

Via Sandy:

From the last traffic light at the east end of Sandy (after the ARCO station), drive 30.9 miles through Zigzag, Rhododendron and Government Camp on Highway 26 to the junction with Highway 35.

Exit Highway 26 to the right and drive for 13.7 miles.

Make a right turn onto paved FR 44 for Lookout Mountain, Camp Baldwin, and Dufur.

After 5.3 miles, Road 44 makes a sharp right for Camp Baldwin and Dufur at the junction with FR 1720.

Keep going on 44 for another 2.3 miles and make a left turn onto Road 4400-120.

Drive 0.1 miles to park in the vicinity of the trailhead signboard.

Via Hood River:

Drive I-84 east to Hood River and take Exit 64 for White Salmon and Government Camp.

After exiting, turn right on Button Bridge Road for Mt. Hood, Government Camp, and Highway 35. After 0.3 miles, come to a Stop sign, and keep straight on Highway 35 for Odell, Parkdale, and Mt. Hood.

Drive 26 miles and turn left onto FR 44 for Lookout Mountain, Camp Baldwin, and Dufur.

After 5.3 miles, Road 44 makes a sharp right for Camp Baldwin and Dufur at the junction with FR 1720.

Keep going on 44 for another 2.3 miles and make a left turn onto Road 120.

Drive 0.1 miles to park in the vicinity of the trailhead signboard.
