Description

Buck Point is the end of the trail and a waypoint on a longer trail, depending on how you look at it. It's the end of the Buck Point Trail #439, an official maintained trail. Buck Point has some great views of the Columbia River, unfortunately marred somewhat by the buzz of power lines. Still, it's the power lines that make the views possible in the first place, so we shouldn't gripe too much. Buck Point is a good family hike destination.

Just beyond Buck Point, there's a trail junction heading up to the left, marked only by a "Trail not maintained" sign. This is the notorious Ruckel Ridge Trail. Beyond here, it's for the experienced hikers only.
