  • Dogs on leash in day-use and campground areas
  • Road L1300 usually gated in fall and winter months

Driving Directions

Drive I-5 north to Exit 11 for Battle Ground and Highway 502E.

Keep right after 0.2 miles (bearing left takes you to a Rest Area) and, in another 0.6 miles, merge right with Highway 502E for Battle Ground.

Drive 5.9 miles into Battle Ground, and turn left at a traffic light for Highway 503N, Amboy, and Yacolt.

Stay on this road, also called the Lewisville Highway, for 5.7 miles and then turn right onto NE Rock Creek Road for Pomeroy Farm, Lucia Falls, and Moulton Falls.

Keep on this road, which becomes NE Lucia Falls Road, for 8.6 miles, and turn right onto NE Sunset Falls Road.

Go 2.1 miles on this winding paved road and turn right onto NE Dole Valley Road.

After 5.2 miles, turn right onto Road L1000 for the Larch Mountain Correction Center.

Drive 0.1 miles on this gravel road, and turn left on Road L1300 for Cold Creek Campground. (This road may be gated in the mid-fall through mid-winter months.)

Drive 0.5 miles, and bear right at a junction.

Proceed another 0.4 miles, and bear left at a junction with a gated road.

It's 0.3 miles to the day use area, which is just past the turnoff for the campground (open in the summer when a volunteer campground host is present).
