Cold Spring Creek Crossing

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Cold Spring Creek at the Bluegrass Ridge Trail crossing - look upstream for the fallen trees you can use to cross (bobcat)

Description

The unmaintained Bluegrass Ridge Trail reaches Cold Spring Creek here. The footbridge is long gone, but upstream about 35 yards a downed tree with a rope handhold makes for a dry footed crossing. From the creek the trail ascends to Bluegrass Ridge through much blowdown, the latter becoming more of an obstacle the farther you hike.

Not far downstream, and a short bushwhack away, is the top of Tamanawas Falls.
