Conrad Creek Basin

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Walk up the stream 1/4 mile and you can see Mount Gilbert between the two cliffy ridges(Jerry Adams)
Campsite west of where the trail crosses the creek. (Jerry Adams)

Description

The first large stream in the Conrad Creek Basin is a good place to get drinking water and a nice place to camp.

There are nice alpine views, but there's a large ridge between you and Gilbert Peak so you can't see the Goat Rocks prominences very well. You will need to scramble a little higher.
