Douglas Cabin Trailhead

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Trailhead sign on closed Road 2711-120 (bobcat)

Description

The road to the trailhead for the Douglas Cabin Trail #470 may be gated about one mile below the trailhead, which adds two miles round-trip to the hike. The Forest Service periodically closes Road 2711-120, which leads to the trailhead and has also officially abandoned the Douglas Cabin Trail. As part of the Gordon Butte-Douglas Cabin Loop Hike, this point is best reached from the north via the Gordon Butte Trail #470A and Road 120 rather than by attempting a descent of the Douglas Cabin Trail from Flag Point.
