Drift Creek Falls

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Drift Creek Falls from the shore of Drift Creek (Paul Gerald)
Drift Creek Falls from the Suspension Bridge (Paul Gerald)

Description

There are at least two waterfalls in Oregon named Drift Creek Falls. This one is about 10 miles east of Lincoln City, near the coast. The North Fork of Drift Creek drops 66 feet into Drift Creek. The falls are probably best viewed from the Drift Creek Falls Suspension Bridge, but the trail continues from the bridge down to creek level. The falls are often shaded, but are worth a trip any time of day. A 2010 peeling off of the cliff by the falls resulted in more debris and big boulders in th creek below them.
