Dutchman Tunnel

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Dutchman Tunnel (Steve Hart)

Description

Multnomah Creek washed out a large semicircular cave from underneath a lava flow. Trail builders constructed a stone walled trail through the cave in 1915. A plaque honoring Forest Service ranger Albert Wiesendanger can be seen on the wall of the overhang.
