Frozen Lake

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Frozen Lake (Steve Hart)
Frozen Lake from First Burroughs Mountain (Steve Hart)

Description

Frozen Lake is named for permanent snowfield that exists just to the north. In the winter the lake is literally frozen; in the summer the snowfield calves sections of ice into the lake. The lake is the water source for the Sunrise Visitor's Center and is fenced to prevent damage.
