Description
The Cripple Creek Trail extension makes you slosh through a bog to get here, the site of the Cache Meadows Shelter, which was immolated by vandals in 2002. There's a good place to camp here still although mosquitoes might be a plague until late August. Fresh spring water can be found a little farther east, past the third meadow, on a side trail from the Grouse Point Trail that leads to the headwaters of Cripple Creek.
