Gunsight Butte-Camp Windy Trail Junction

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

At the unsigned junction, with the Camp Windy Trail leading off (bobcat)
Marsh-marigolds (Caltha biflora) at the spring below the junction (bobcat)

Description

Here the Gunsight Butte Trail #685 meets the Camp Windy Trail #685B on a shallow saddle on the southern stretch of the Gunsight Butte Ridge. The junction is unsigned and can be easily missed; in fact, sometimes it seems as if certain users have actually tried to obscure the junction by strewing debris there (perhaps so users of the Gunsight Trail don't take a wrong turn?). The Camp Windy Trail descends in short order past a lush spring to the Bennett Pass Road (FR 3550).
