Description

Heartbreak Ridge is a very steep ridgeline on the southwest corner of Table Mountain. The Heartbreak Ridge Trail climbs the ridge breaking more knees than hearts. The point picked out here in a saddle right on the edge of the cliffs. From here, you can get a good look at the cliffs making up the south face of Table Mountain. It would also be a good place to die if you were to get careless.

The trail continuing up to the summit of the mountain drops steeply here and you'll probably experience a bit of personal heartbreak as you give up hard-earned elevation that you know you'll need to regain.
