Description
This is an unmarked junction about a quarter mile south of Deadman Creek on the Hurricane Creek Trail. The Thorp Creek Trail heads off to the left in a grassy meadow and soon reaches Hurricane Creek, which must be forded at any time of year: this can be difficult early in the season. Sometimes there are trees across the creek which can be used as bridges.
After crossing the creek, pick up a tread and head in to a campsite on the edge of a weedy meadow which is also an overflow channel for nearby Twin Creek. Go straight across the meadow to find the use trail that enters the woods and crosses Twin Creek higher up.
