Indian Racetrack-Gifford Peak Way Junction

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

The unmarked junction just beyond the Wilderness Permit box (bobcat)

Description

At this unmarked junction, 15 yards past the Wilderness Permit box, the Racetrack Trail #171 heads off to the right (if you are coming from the Falls Creek Horse Camp Trailhead) and crosses Falls Creek on a footbridge. The abandoned Gifford Peak Way peels off to the left and is relatively easy to follow, with some detours around fallen trees, as far as Janet Lake in the Basin Lakes.
