Hike Description

This hike begins with a short climb and then levels out in a meadowy area at a muddy lake which is the site of Indian Racetrack. The hike is mostly wooded until you get close to the lakes. The trail is well maintained, with just a few rocky sections. In the fall, the colored foliage makes it a good time of year to visit.

Nearby Red Mountain, which has a lookout on top, would make a nice side trip.

The lake is more like a mud puddle and it is unknown if there are any established camp sites.

Fees, Regulations, etc.

None.
