Description
At over 6,500 feet, Lookout Mountain is much higher than most of the smaller peaks that surround Mount Hood. In fact, it is the second highest peak in the Mt. Hood National Forest. The added elevation brings broad meadows, expansive views, alpine wildflowers and ancient whitebark pines to the scene. The view of Mount Hood, just seven miles to the west, is from a unique perspective that reveals the massive bulk of the mountain.
