Driving Directions
The Mazama Trailhead can be reached from Lolo Pass Road.
From the last traffic light in Sandy, drive Highway 26 east to Zigzag for 17.0 miles and turn left onto E. Lolo Pass Road.
Drive 10.8 miles to Lolo Pass, passing the junction with the Pacific Crest Trail, and turn right onto gravel FR 18.
Wind down on this road for 5.5 miles before turning right onto FR 1811.
Drive 2.6 miles up this gravel road, which is potholed at its lower end, to the Mazama Trailhead parking area on your left.
Alternately, you can get to the Mazama Trailhead from the Hood River side. Follow the signs to Lost Lake. Several miles before the lake, you are on Road 13. Turn left on Road 18 and go about 8 miles to Road 1811. Turn left and go about a mile to the trailhead.
