Description
Minnie Scott Spring is a tiny spring north of Opie Dilldock Pass. This is the only source of water on the PCT between Glacier Creek which is just north of Sisters Spring, and South Mattieu Lake.
The spring is about 100 feet east of the trail. A stream flows from the spring across the trail west and north. Late in the summer, the stream ends a short distance from the spring, maybe not even reaching the trail, so you have to watch out for it. To get drinking water, you may have to create a pool, and then let the silt settle before getting water.
There are some nice camping areas west of the spring, down an unmarked trail. There are some forest areas, surprising for this high elevation.
This area is far enough from any trailhead you should expect to see very few other people.
