Mother Lode-Geronimo Trail Junction

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

The actual junction (bobcat)
Signs a few yards up the Geronimo Trail (bobcat)

Description

This junction is now more obscure than ever. After the Forest Service officially abandoned the Geronimo Trail #557, the signs marking the junction were still prominently placed on a tree. That tree has now fallen across the trail at the junction, and with other blowdown in the area as a result of the 2011 Mother Lode Fire, the route up the Geronimo Trail from here can be a little obscure in places.

Up the slope and not far from the junction you can find debris at the site of the Geronimo Mine, including the entrance to the filled-in shaft.
