Description
Mount Beachie is an eroded volcano on French Creek Ridge, with Byars Peak to the west and Beachie Saddle and Battle Ax to the east. The Beachie Trail runs below the highest point, but it's a short bushwhack to the summit area, which provides limited views east to Battle Ax and Elk Lake but expansive vistas south down to Geibeler Lake, Mount Jefferson, Three Fingered Jack, Mount Washington, and the Three Sisters.
The rounded summit is just a few feet higher than the high point on Mt. Beachie's rugged northeast ridge, which extends as a knife-edge ridge down to Beachie Saddle.
