Description

A location under a powerline doesn't make this the most scenic of trail junctions, but these are two important trails nonetheless. The Mount Defiance Trail makes a sometimes brutal attack on the slopes of Mount Defiance and the Starvation Ridge Trail climbs about 2000 feet to make it to the bottom of what's known as the Starvation Ridge Hill Climb. Both of these trails are all about endurance and stamina, mixed with scenic views.
