Pacific Crest-Gifford Peak Way Junction

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

The junction area; Gifford Peak Way heads down the slope to the left (bobcat)

Description

The abandoned Gifford Peak Way wends up the slope to the high ridge of Indian Heaven and meets the Pacific Crest Trail here on the saddle area between Berry Mountain and Gifford Peak. There is an old campsite here; it is little used because there is no water nearby. The Gifford Peak Way is difficult to distinguish approaching it from this direction, so it is best to access the trail via the Falls Creek Horse Camp Trailhead.
