Description

Where the Highline Trail leaves the PCT is a really nice alpine area.

Right before the junction, the PCT crosses Killen Creek. There is a scenic waterfall to the left that would make a nice lunch stop.

Killen Creek provides year-round drinking water.

There are many campsites in the vicinity along Killen Creek and the PCT. This would make a good destination for a backpack trip. You're about 5 miles from Killen Creek Trailhead, and several trails fan out in different directions as you go, so this area won't be too busy, plus there are many campsites spread out so you should be able to get some solitude.
