Pacific Crest-Stagman Ridge Trail Junction

From Portland Hikers Field Guide

PCT-Stagman Ridge Trail Junction. (Jerry Adams)

Contents

Description

The first 5 miles of the PCT from Williams Mine Trailhead is through forest with few views. At 5 miles is the junction with the Stagman Ridge Trail, which comes up on the right. This is the return for the loop. Starting here, you get into a more alpine area with views.

An alternate hike would be to hike up on the Stagman Ridge Trail. This route is a little shorter and less elevation gain, but the road is more difficult. You can find this hike in other guide books.
