Description
This 5 1/2 acre Japanese Garden, much admired for its authenticity, is open seven days a week. It is well worth a stop, if you are willing to pay the ticket price, on your loop around Washington Park. The garden includes five distinctive formal garden environments as well as a pavilion and koi pond.
The new entrance booth for the Garden is now on Kingston Avenue opposite the tennis courts. The Garden's new cultural village includes a café, courtyard, learning center, gallery, and library. A short trail leads up a forested knoll to a view over Portland.
