Rattlesnake Creek Bridge

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

The new crossing on a ponderosa pine log over Rattlesnake Creek (bobcat
The Rattlesnake Creek Bridge as looked before it was taken out in 2009 (Steve Hart)

Description

This closed road bridge used to be a straightforward crossing of Rattlesnake Creek from the Rattlesnake Falls Trailhead. The bridge was removed in 2009 to prevent ORV adventurers from creating ruts across fragile meadows, and the main supports now lie stacked on the creek bank. From the trailhead, hike to the creek and then head to your right to find a fine old ponderosa pine that straddles the creek and affords an easy dry crossing.

Note: The coordinates above are for the log crossing, not the bridge site.
