Ridge Camp

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Ridge Camp on the Gorton Creek Trail (northridge)

Description

Ridge Camp is located in a saddle high on the southern part of Nick Eaton Ridge. There are trees and no view.

One place to get drinking water is from Gorton Creek to the east. You have to walk about 0.2 miles across a steep slope. This is a difficult walk.

Another place to get water is to continue up the Gorton Creek Trail about 0.3 miles to the junction with the Plateau Cutoff Trail. Turn left and go about 0.1 miles, then go about 200 feet north to the headwaters of Gorton Creek. There is probably some place around here you could camp which would be as good as Ridge Camp.
