Description
The Timberline Trail crossing of the Sandy River is one of the more difficult stream crossings around Mount Hood. There's no bridge. There's usually a log you can step across.
This crossing can be impassable early in the summer when there's heavy snow melt and after heavy rain. The stream can be easy to cross early in the morning but be much more difficult in the afternoon when there is more snow melt.
