Description

At the trailhead is a parking area and nice outhouse. There's a day use area with picnic tables. The Wildcat Campground is a Forest Service campground. There are about 16 sites. The campground is fairly busy in the summer. Water comes from a pump well. The campground is closed in the winter.

Driving Directions

From Portland, take Highway 26 east past Mount Hood to Prineville, about 140 miles.

Keep going northeast on Highway 26 and, 9.3 miles past Main Street, reach a sign "Wildcat Camp 11". Turn left.

The road is paved about halfway, then good gravel. It's 11 miles to Wildcat Campground.
