Square Lake

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Square Lake features a great view of nearby Three Fingered Jack (Jamey Pyles)

Description

Square Lake is a fairly large lake of 55 acres with a few campsites on the north and south shores. The area around the lake is generally pretty quiet due to the lack of leaves for the wind to rustle around and the lack of streams and animals. The lake has trout; it is a good easy place to get out and relax with your fishing pole.

For the more adventurous, the small hill to the southwest with about 300 feet in prominence (Peak 5133) has an even greater view of the surrounding area. It is a simple scramble to the top from the south shore of Square Lake.
