Hikes starting here

Driving Directions

Drive I-205 north to Exit 27 for Highway 14, Vancouver, and Camas.

Leaving the freeway, drive 0.8 miles, keeping left for Camas, to merge with Highway 14E.

Drive 9.6 miles to the first traffic circle in Washougal.

Turn right here on S. 15th Street and park below the restrooms in Steamboat Landing Park; there is parking for about 25 vehicles.

Alternatives to Driving

  • C-TRAN Bus #92 returns via Main Street ib Washougal. Get off at Washougal River Road, and head south to the river and Steamboat Landing Park.

Fees and Regulations

  • Open during daylight hours only
  • Restrooms at trailheads; picnic tables and interpretive panels at Captain William Clark Park.
  • Stay on the trail; respect all refuge and private property signs restricting access to certain areas.
  • Dogs are permitted on leash.
  • Share trail with bikes and horses
