Tarzan Springs

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Tarzan Springs, Tarzan Springs Meadow (bobcat)

Description

Tarzan Springs was apparently named for a prospector who resided in the woods near there with a family of “ape-like” creatures. You will need to do a short bushwhack of a spur road of FR 4670 to find the spring pools and the large sedge/spiraea meadow that surrounds them.

Shallow lakes form here in the spring and last until mid-summer; the deeper spring pools remain all year.
