From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

(Redirected from The Rockpile)
Mount Hood from The Rockpile. (Tom Kloster)

Description

The Rockpile is a viewpoint on the Old Vista Ridge Trail. The entire north face of Mount Hood is visible from here. The name is descriptive, with the viewpoint consisting of a nearly perfect cone of talus, part of the rocky Clear Branch Rim. This area has some of the best huckleberry fields in the Mount Hood region.
