Third Beach Trailhead

The Third Beach Trailhead is basically a wide place next to the road. It can fill up on summer weekends. (Jerry Adams)

Fees, Regulations, etc.

  • Vault toilet, information kiosk at trailhead
  • There is a $30 National Park fee (for 7 days); America the Beautiful Pass also valid
  • There is an $8 per night camping fee plus a $6 permit fee (see Wilderness Backpacking Reservations)
  • Dogs are not allowed here, sorry.
  • Check tide tables before the trip
  • Mora Campground is nearby. This is open year round and has spaces for RVs.

Hikes starting here

Driving Directions

From Portland, drive north on I-5 to Centralia (93 miles).

Take Exit 88 for Tenino and Grand Mound, and drive west on US 12 to Aberdeen (46 miles).

Go north on US 101 just past Forks (109 miles).

Go west on La Push Rd, following signs to La Push and Mora Campground (8 miles).

Stay straight on La Push Rd to reach the Third Beach Trailhead on your left (4 miles).
