Timberline-Dollar Lake Trail Junction

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

The Dollar Lake Trail joins the Timberline Trail in a thick growth of young mountain hemlocks (bobcat)

Description

The junction is located on the Timberline Trail, 0.3 miles east of the Pinnacle Ridge Trail or 0.8 miles west of the Timberline-Elk Cove Trail Junction. There's a thicket of young mountain hemlocks here, and the beginning of the Dollar Lake Trail is easily missed. Usually there are small cairns marking the spot. Above the hemlocks, the trail is easy to follow along the side of an open heather draw.
