Timothy Lake South Side

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

On the South side of the lake, the trail follows close to the edge of the lake(Jerry Adams)
You can see the campgrounds at places (Jerry Adams)
Great views of Mount Hood (Jerry Adams)

Description

On the south side of the lake, you can circumvent the two sets of campgrounds using the Timothy Lake Trail, which returns to the edge of Timothy Lake between the campgrounds. To stay near the shore of the lake, take the Southshore Trail, although this is a very crowded and sometimes noisy option in the summer.

There are great views of Mount Hood from this side of the lake.
