I'm a 10 year Oregon resident and have been hiking most of that time. I began backpacking in 2006 and have (in two segments) backpacked on or near the Pacific Crest Trail from the Columbia Gorge to Olallie Lake. You can find a report on my 2006 backpacking at Brett’s 2006 Backpacking Adventures.
