Wickiup Plains

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

(Redirected from Wickiup Plaine)
On the Wickiup Plains: junction of the PCT with the Moraine Lake Trail (Jerry Adams)

Description

The Wickiup Plains are an alpine meadow area with islands of trees southwest of the South Sister. Several trails cross these expanses of sandy pumice, including the Pacific Crest Trail. The soil is porous, so there's little surface water.
