Pacific Crest-Paradise Park Loop North Trail Junction

From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

The trail junction described here (Steve Hart)

Description

The modern Pacific Crest Trail is an amalgamation of older trails, connecting construction and more recent reroutes. The original trail in this area was the Skyline Trail. In this area, it climbed high on the side of Mount Hood into Paradise Park. Today a newer trail performs two roles as the PCT and the Timberline Trail, while the older trail survives as the Paradise Park Loop Trail.
